Terms & Conditions

All ingredients are subject to availability. We reserve the right to change or substitute products with equal quality and in keeping with the customer’s order. We will make every attempt to give notice of any changes where possible.

All sponge based cakes are baked fresh to order and come direct to the customer. (Delivery by arrangement plus delivery charge, collection by appointment)

We do not use unnecessary preserving agents and therefore recommend sponge based cakes are eaten on the day of delivery/collection or within 3 days.

Sponge based cakes should be stored in a dry cool place, in box supplied or an airtight tin/container.
Fruit cakes can be stored for up to 3 months. They should be wrapped in greaseproof paper and an outer layer of aluminium foil and placed in an airtight container or sealed tin and stored in a dry cool place.

Do not refrigerate cakes this may cause the frosting/icing/decorations to become wet and sticky.

Allergy advice

All our cakes are produced on our premises where nuts may be used, and some ingredients may contain traces of nut.

Payment

Payment must be made by Cash or Cheque. Cheques must be made payable to Ms. S J Francis.

Celebration cupcakes require payment of 10% deposit (non-refundable) when ordering, with remaining payment in full 10 days before due date.

Sponge celebration cakes require 10% deposit (non-refundable) when ordering, with remaining payment in full 10 days before due date.

Fruit celebration cakes require 50% deposit when ordering (non-refundable), with remaining full payment 10 days before due date.

Wedding/Civil Union cakes & Wedding/Civil Union Cupcakes require a secure a £50 deposit (non-refundable) to book the date. Balance of full amount is to be paid 4 weeks prior to due date. Customers can make instalments towards the cost by prior arrangement and agreement.

If money is outstanding by the agreed date we reserve the right to refuse to make the product available unless prompt action is taken by the customer to make full payment.

Hired Stands, Bases, etc.

Cake bases, stands, separators can be made available for hire for a small fee plus a refundable deposit details available on application.

Deposit will not be returned if the customer fails to return the equipment within 5 days of the wedding/celebration date, or the equipment is damaged whilst in the customer’s care.

Equipment can be collected by arrangement with Cakeology. A charge for mileage (return journey inc.) will be deducted from the deposit (charged at £0.50p per mile)
