About Cakeology
Cakeology is a home-based bakery specialising in hand-made and custom designed and decorated cakes for all occasions. We operate out of Bishops Lydeard, a small village just outside the town of Taunton in Somerset, UK.
Sue has many years of experience both baking and decorating cakes for birthdays, engagements, weddings, Easter, and Christmas celebrations. Turning her hobby into a business was the next logical step, enabling her to work on more ambitious designs and share her talents with others! Cakeology is a family business and Sue is regularly assisted by her daughter, who lends a hand at every stage, from design to baking, to making decorations in fondant icing, and the finishing of the cakes.

Where are you based?
Cakeology is based in Bishops Lydeard, a village just outside Taunton in Somerset, which is itself in the south west of England, UK.
Do you deliver?
We may be able to deliver your cake depending on the day you need it and how far we would need to travel. Please note that it is unlikely that we will be able to deliver your cake if you are beyond the West country (Avon & Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire, etc.) and you will need to arrange to collect your cake or have it couriered to you otherwise.
Can you make me a cake suitable for my special diet?
We will do our best to accommodate any dietary requirements or preferences (such as nut-free, gluten-free, vegan, etc.). Please contact us with clear information of your individual needs and we can discuss various options with you.
Do you use Organic/Fairtrade/Free-Range produce in your cakes?
We try to use as many ethically produced/sourced ingredients as we can and we’re constantly looking for even more options that allow us to make tasty cakes that make our conscience really happy.
I’d like a cupcake-based tiered-cake, can you do that?
Absolutely! Top tier and cupcake batch wedding spreads are becoming increasingly popular and cupcake mountains are always a hit with kids. As with any ‘regular’ cake, we’ll be happy to discuss your needs and offer you a quote.
